Proverb 18:21

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

Do not say everything you know. Keep some of them in your head. In fact, allow those critical ones to stay there forever. There are some things that can cause collateral damage when they are said. A lady once said to me, "this is a secret I will take to my grave," and that statement made sense to me. She is a wise lady. Yes. You have to take some of those secrets to your grave. Some of the information you received on trust must be safeguarded. In fact, some of your thoughts are so vile that you should just eschew them before you do yourself irreparable harm. Guard your tongue. You might have a truth to tell, but think about that truth very well and make sure the truth will not cause a regrettable problem, and in some cases, death (just because you want to be the good one). What do you know? When did you know it? Where you get it from? Can you contain it in your head? Are you struggling with retaining that knowledge? is your body itching for you to jettison that knowledge or information? Remember that someone dug a hole in the ground and shouted into it, "King Midas has ass's ears." Sooner than later, the whole village heard about King Midas and his ears. The hole in the ground could not keep that secret. We have also been told that "the walls have ears." Whether it is true or false is not for you to experiment. Guard your tongue. Are you thinking about some evil thing someone did that you knew about? Are you under pressure to release the information? Is it peer pressure that you are about to cave in under? Guard your tongue. It is not everything you know that you must reveal. Yes, you believe that many people already know it, but that is not sufficient to make you release it. If they all know about it, then, let them release it, but guess what? They are wise. They are waiting for you to release it so the story will be that you are the one who let the cat out of the bag. Guard your tongue.
